What is Ararat?
The name of our restaurant originates from Mountain Ararat. Ararat is historically considered to be a resting place of Noah’s Arc and a national symbol of Armenia. Mountain Ararat was historically located on the territory of the Armenian Highlands until 1923. As a result of a peace treaty between the Soviet Union and Turkey, the international boundaries have changed but Ararat continued to be a historical homeland and the sacred volcano for all Armenians.
The reason our restaurant is called Ararat because throughout centuries this ancient place was a melting pot of many nations whose cultures and societies interlinked with one another. This place had a major influence on cuisine of Central Asia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Italy, and many post-Soviet countries. The connection was so deep that now it is impossible to distinguish the origin of many meals, and at our restaurant we just cook them with the same passion as our ancestors did.

The concept of our restaurant is simple, we just want our customers to feel like they are at home. As immigrants ourselves, we wanted to create a cozy environment where people who left their homeland, can come and enjoy a nice friendly environment, a place where they will be treated as a member of the family. Of course, Ararat Restaurant is also welcoming to everyone who wants to expand their horizons, explore the new worlds and cultures, try new meals and gradually, fall in love with them,
